The Flying Scotsman visiting Edinburgh and Bo'ness. Absolutely fantastic to see this iconic machine in full working order.

We made three trips to see it. On the first occasion we watched it leave Waverley Station to travel to Tweedbank on the recently opened Border Line. All the good spots were gone and the light is always tricky there. The second trip was to Bo'ness where the loco was scrubbed and oiled and made ready for its journey back south. Lots of people there to watch it. Finally, we went to see it on the way into Waverley on the Edinburgh Suburban. Perfect light and a very nice spot. The only fly was that it was pushed by a diesel engine. It would be great to see the Suburban reopen for public transport again.
